Terms of Service
Effective October 13, 2026. These terms govern your use of cedarrockit.com, the forms on it, and the Cedar Rock IT text messaging program. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
Cedar Rock IT LLC ("Cedar Rock IT", "we", "us") is a managed IT services provider at 15 Beverly Rd, Greenville, SC 29609. We serve businesses in Greenville and Upstate South Carolina. Please read these terms; they are short and written in plain language.
1. Agreement to these terms
By using this website, submitting any of our forms, or opting in to text messages from us, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or opt in to messages. If you are using the site on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to agree on its behalf.
2. Using the website
You may use cedarrockit.com to learn about our services, read our articles, contact us, request a quote or assessment, and open support tickets. You agree not to:
- Use the site or our forms to send spam, unsolicited advertising, or anything unlawful, abusive or deceptive.
- Attempt to bypass our bot protection or rate limits, probe or disrupt the site, or access systems you are not authorized to use.
- Scrape, copy or republish the site's content except as allowed in Content and intellectual property.
- Impersonate another person or business, or submit a form with someone else's contact details without their permission.
We may block or limit access to the site for anyone who breaks these rules.
3. Forms, quotes and support tickets
Submitting a contact, assessment or quote form is a request for information. It does not create a service agreement, and we are not obliged to respond to or accept any request. Quotes and assessments are free of charge and are estimates, not contracts, unless we both sign a written agreement.
The support ticket form at /support/ is for current clients. If you are not a client, we may reply with how to engage us instead of working the ticket. Screenshots and other files you attach must be yours to share and must not contain anyone else's confidential information beyond what we need to help you. Please do not put passwords in a ticket; we will ask for credentials through a secure channel if we need them.
Information you submit is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send us.
4. Text messaging (SMS) terms
These are the terms of the Cedar Rock IT text messaging program. By checking the text message box when opening a support ticket and replying START to our confirmation text, or by texting ALERTS to (864) XXX‑XXXX and replying YES, you agree to receive text messages from Cedar Rock IT at that number, and you confirm that you are the subscriber or usual user of that number and are at least 18 years old.
- What we send. Service messages for current Cedar Rock IT clients: support ticket updates, site-visit scheduling, system health alerts for your managed systems (such as a firewall or server going offline), and replies to your questions. Example: "Cedar Rock IT: your ticket #1042 (Outlook won't open) is resolved. Reply if it comes back. Reply STOP to opt out."
- Message frequency. Ticket updates: frequency varies with ticket activity, typically 4–5 messages per ticket. Health alerts: frequency varies based on system events.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data charges apply to messages you send and receive. Check with your carrier about your plan.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not send further texts to that number unless you opt in again. You can also ask us to stop by calling or emailing us using the details below.
- For help, reply HELP to any message, call (864) 660‑3112, or email contact@cedarrockit.com.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use all of our services without agreeing to receive text messages.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator and may not be available in all areas.
- Supported carriers. Messages are available on major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and their affiliated networks. Carriers may change their support without notice.
- Number changes. If you change or give up your mobile number, let us know so we can stop messaging the old number.
Mobile information is never shared for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, released, transferred or shared with any third party, affiliate or lead generator. The only sharing is with the messaging platform that transmits our texts, solely to deliver the messages you have asked for. See the Privacy Policy for details.
5. Client services
Managed IT, support, cloud, cabling and installation services are provided under a separate written service agreement or statement of work between Cedar Rock IT and your business. That agreement governs pricing, scope, response times, warranties and liability for the services. If anything in these terms conflicts with a signed service agreement, the service agreement wins for the services it covers.
The remote support link on this site opens a session with our technicians. Only start a remote session when a Cedar Rock IT technician has asked you to, and only on a device your business owns or authorizes us to access.
6. Content and intellectual property
The text, articles, graphics, logos and design of this website belong to Cedar Rock IT or are used with permission. You may view, print or share links to our pages for personal or internal business use. You may not copy our articles or branding onto another site, use our name or logo to suggest an endorsement, or remove copyright notices. Trademarks of other companies mentioned on the site (such as Microsoft, Starlink and Paladin) belong to their owners.
Anything you send us through a form or message, other than your personal information, you allow us to use to respond to you and provide our services.
7. Third-party services
The site links to and relies on services we do not control, including our remote support portal, social media pages, Google Analytics and Cloudflare. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. A link does not mean we endorse the destination.
8. Disclaimers
The website, its articles, and any free assessment or quote are provided "as is" for general information. They are not a guarantee of results, a security certification, or professional advice for your specific situation until you engage us under a service agreement. We try to keep the site accurate and available but do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of harmful components. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, for the website and the free information on it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cedar Rock IT will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the website, our forms, or the text messaging program. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website or text messaging program is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Liability for paid services is governed by your service agreement. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
10. Indemnification
You agree to cover Cedar Rock IT for any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the website or forms, your breach of these terms, or content you submit that infringes someone else's rights.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the website or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site or remaining opted in to text messages after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes to the text messaging program will be sent to subscribers by text or posted here.
